European Championships

The next WFF European Championships will be held in Bad Langensalza, Germany!

We welcome all competitors from around the world to travel to Germany for an unforgettable muscle tour.

  • Registration: Friday, 10 June at the Alpha Hotel, Bad Langensalza
  • Show Day: Saturday, 11 June beginning at 9:00am (09:00) and concluding at 9:00pm (21:00)

Getting There and Getting Around

The three closest airports are in Erfurt (37km), Leipzig (188km) and Frankfurt (225km).

From Erfurt it's a scenic drive (35 mins) or train ride (50 mins) to Bad Langensalza.

If you fly into Leipzig then the train will take just over one hour, and around three hours if you're coming from Frankfurt.

Bad Langensalza is a beautiful town to see on foot with plenty of attractions and sights for tourists. You can also hire a car if you want to venture out to see more of the region, or of course, take the train.

How to Qualify

Every WFF affiliated country will select its team to compete at the WFF European Championships in Germany. Competitors from countries that are not affiliated with WFF are invited to apply directly to WFF International to join the muscle tour.

The Venue

The 2022 WFF European Championships will be held at the Kultur- und Kongresszentrum (Culture and Congress Centre) in Bad Langensalza, Germany.

The venue is in the heart of the town and is a short walk from the host hotel.


Bad Langensalza boasts a range of modern and period style hotels. These are easily accessible online.

The host hotel for the 2022 WFF European Championships is the Alpha Hotel.

WFF International is working closely with venues and suppliers to ensure that everything to do with our events is conducted in accordance with COVID-19 government requirements as they apply from time to time.

All athletes, officials and guests must comply with any health or hygiene directions from WFF Staff and/or venue staff.

Wearing a mask when you can’t socially distance, maintaining good hygiene and washing your hands regularly are all essential for us to do our part to stem the tide of COVID-19.

We ask that all guests be prepared to wear a mask in public spaces and wherever they are unable to maintain 1.5m distance from others.

Importantly, if you feel unwell, please don’t risk your health or the health of others. Stay home, get tested and stay safe.
